Greetings from the New President of the Manitoba Korean Seniors' Centre (February 11, 2023)

Manitoba101 LV 10 23-02-15 412

Hello. Greetings to all the elderly Koreans living in Manitoba.

The new year of 2023 seemed to be yesterday, but it's already mid-February.

I'm Haesuk Yoon, who was elected as the next president at the regular general meeting of the Manitoba Korean Seniors‘ Centre as of 8 p.m. yesterday (February 11, 2023).

In the meantime, the Seniors‘ Centre has been divided and conflicted with each other, causing a huge disruption to the operation of programs for the elderly.

I will do my best to ensure that the Seniors‘ Centre, which has been divided, is normalized as soon as possible.

While talking to about 30 members who attended the meeting, I felt the need to develop desirable programs for our senior citizens, who do not have a long life in the future, so that life here can be more fun and useful.

I'm sure you'll agree that our lives are not far away when you see how the days go by quickly. What I'm saying is that our lives in the future are too short, so we should love each other.

You will have no regrets if you forgive and make up with each other.

In the future, I will try to make the Seniors‘ Centre that relys on each other, loves each other, and values its neighbours, and I ask that members actively participate.

This could serve as an example for our children and younger generations who look up to us.

From now on, Manitoba Korean Seniors‘ Centre will be responsible for its members' education, hobbies, and sports, establishing emergency contact networks, and helping our members.

We ask for your interest and support in the Manitoba Korean Seniors‘ Centre.

February 12, 2023,

Chairman Haesuk Yoon
