11% of Teachers Still Unvaccinated

About 3,700 workers in the education workforce of about 34,000 (or about 11%) remain unvaccinated for COVID-19.

This includes teachers, school administrators (like principals), teaching assistants, some daycare workers, etc. 

Teachers are NOT forced to get vaccinated but if they don't they must take COVID-19 tests 3 times a week.

In Winnipeg these numbers are likely to be a bit better as almost 89% of the city is vaccinated. These numbers will be worse in some other areas of the provinces, particularly in the southern areas where vaccination rates are still far lower than the rest of the province.
