Road Speeds in the Countryside

In the country you can drive much faster due to the obvious lack of buildings and people around.

The main road speeds in the country (unless otherwise indicated) are:

• Highways: 110 km/h
• Paved roads: 100 km/h
• Dirt/gravel roads: 90 km/h

You should always go slower if road conditions or visibility (due to weather) are not good. Just make sure to keep to the right lane if you are driving slower on the highway.

Especially go slower on dirt/gravel roads if road conditions and visibility is bad. Also, sometimes dirt roads are either too rocky or not rocky enough to go fast. If you feel it's hard to control your vehicle when driving on a dirt road ALWAYS SLOW DOWN.
